I am very sorry to have to suspend our Sunday services, commencing on Sunday 22 March. In light of the Government guidance around non-essential contact, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have issued advice that public worship is suspended until further notice.
Our Churches will remain open for personal and private prayer but with no public worship services taking place. Please see the full statement from The Church of England here: https://www.churchofengland.org/more/media-centre/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-churches
As Coronavirus is at the forefront of all our minds, please join the National Day of Prayer and Action this Sunday, 22 March. At 7pm this Sunday, light a candle in the windows of your homes as a visible symbol of the light of life, Jesus Christ, our source and hope in prayer. A full statement and resources are available from Churches Together in England at www.cte.org.uk/calltoprayer.
With every blessing at this time.
Revd Tim Harford
Rector of the Downland Churches
